Come, Holy Spirit! Come and renew the face of America to live according to God’s design once again. Come at the petition of the faithful Christians and other sincere believers who love our country and wish to see it restored to its foundational principles of Christian values and true justice.
Come, Holy Spirit, and protect our President and his allies who are trying to bring the needed reforms to our political, social, economic, and cultural lives. The forces arrayed against these improvements are immense and powerful, and only the divine power of God will bring about the needed transformation.
Come, Holy Spirit, and renew the faith of this nation. As a country we have betrayed many divine commandments and given permission to the forces of lawlessness to create havoc in our society. We have brought these evils upon ourselves.
Give us a true spirit of repentance and reform, that we may undo the evils that have been unleashed in our culture, evils that victimize your most vulnerable children and elderly and other needy people who are our neighbors in spirit and truth.
We know that only the divine power of God can prevail in reversing such deeply-rooted evils, and we give ourselves entirely over to your Will for the good of our nation. We ask that you hear our urgent prayers and use us in any way you see fit to carry out the reform of our society.
Come, Holy Spirit! Come heal the wounded, strengthen the weak, discipline the unruly, and bring grace out of suffering.
Come, Holy Spirit! Father of the poor, defender of widows, comforter of the afflicted. We trust in you and ask you to hear our deepest petitions for the well-being of our nation and the salvation of all souls.
Let us Pray:
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of thy love!
Send for thy Spirit and they shall be created and thou shall renew the face of the earth.
O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, didst instruct the hearts of thy faithful; grant that, in that same Spirit, we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
